Worth knowing
Roughly 420 residents in about 160 homes — Roxboro is a tiny, tucked-away enclave where neighbours know each other by name.
Roxboro Place was registered as a Calgary subdivision on October 4, 1911 — the same year as neighbouring Rideau Park.
Virtually every home here is a detached house — no apartment towers, and very little rental stock.
The river bends around the community, so the pathway system, Stanley Park and the Mission Bridge are minutes on foot.
The concrete bridge across the Elbow replaced a wooden one lost to flooding — it still links Roxboro to Mission and 4th Street.
